Résumé
The main objectives of this project are to analyze and better understand two key factors in the retention of health professionals working in Francophone minority communities (FMCs) in rural areas: 1) health and psychological well-being at work, and 2) sense of attachment to the community. This project also aims to formulate concrete recommendations for our partner, the Vitalité Health Network, to support the stability and sustainability of the professional workforce in these settings.
More specifically, the project seeks to answer the following questions:
-
Based on the “Magnet Hospitals” approach, how do management practices that promote health and psychological well-being contribute to the retention of healthcare professionals in FMCs located in rural areas?
-
According to the “Making it Work” approach, what role does a sense of attachment to the community play in retention dynamics?
-
Intersecting those two questions, is there a relationship between attachment to the community and better psychological health at work?
